By crafting and conducting experiments, such as a taste test or building a potato launcher, children learn about collaboration in a fun way. In summer camp, children may explore a creek and learn whether the stream is polluted, map the watershed to see where the water goes or investigate how animals use water.
With experiments, children learn perseverance – often through trial and error!
